Ken’ichi Matsubara is an artist born in Japan and living in Düsseldorf, Germany. He uses various media such as photography, text and installation. The theme of his work is the subjective perception of the world and its elements that form our consciousness and remembrance. This theme is often represented by the exploration of architectural and geographic spaces, with their structures, appearances, politics and historical contexts being the main subjects.
