The set of four objects presents variations of the same abstract space, each rendered from the same viewpoint but suggesting different depths. When seen frontally, as two-dimensional compositions, the rightmost object appears to represent the deepest space. However, as physical three-dimensional forms, it is the leftmost object that seems to recede furthest — its sharper angles casting deeper shadows that visually intensify its depth.
In reality, all four objects share the exact same material depth of 6 cm. This dissonance between perceived and actual depth invites reflection on how our sense of space is shaped — not by physical fact, but by contrast, shadow, and expectation. Through this quiet paradox, the work explores the instability of visual perception and the constructed nature of spatial understanding.
